Come paddle for the APABA-DC team at the 2022 Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival!  The Festival is returning for the first time in three years on Saturday, May 21.  This fun community event is held at the Georgetown waterfront.  Whether you are interested in being on the team or want more information to come spectate and cheer others on, please sign up!  Participants with all levels of experience are encouraged to join.

What is dragon boat?  20 paddlers, a drummer, and a steersperson (provided by the festival organizer) work in sync to make the boat fly across the water.  Whether you've never picked up a paddle before or you're excited at the thought of overtaking another boat during a Power 10, we encourage you to sign up for a wonderful team-building and networking experience.

What is the time commitment?  The schedule is being finalized.  Historically, the festival has run during most of the day during both days of the weekend.  In addition, there will be two practice sessions of 90 minutes leading up to race day.

Practice Dates are:

12:00 - 1:30

The Wharf, D.C.

10:30 - 12:00

The Wharf, D.C.

What is the cost?  $50 for APABA-DC members and $65 for non-members and friends of APABA-DC.  This covers the cost of team registration, a team t-shirt, and snacks on festival day!
