As a member, your dues support our mission to raise awareness of issues impacting the APA community, and enrich our membership through pro-bono clinics, training, development, and programs focused on raising issues in the APA community. Although we host many free, public events, your membership entitles you to:

Networking opportunities including dinners, dim sum and other small group activities with accomplished APA attorneys
Exclusive access to a swearing-in ceremony for the U.S. Supreme Court Bar (the next group admission ceremony planned for OT 2024)
Priority access to events and programs featuring judges, government officials, firm leaders, in-house counsel, experienced practitioners, and subject-matter experts.

In-House Counsel - $50.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments Includes attorneys working in corporate settings who maintain an active license to practice.

Government / Public Interest / Academia - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments Attorneys who work for the Government (including those who work in court systems or as judicial law clerks), academia, non-profits, legal aid programs, and other public interest organizations.

Solo or Small Firm Attorney - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments For individuals who are solo practitioners or are in firms with fewer than 25 attorneys.

Transitional Attorney - $20.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments Individuals who are currently unemployed or seeking employment and are not students or retired.

Young / New Attorney - $20.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments Attorneys who graduated from law school within two years.

Student - $10.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments Students enrolled in ABA-accredited law schools in the U.S.

Non-Attorney / Retired Members - $60.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: 1 Jan 2026 No automatically recurring payments Those individuals who are not currently licensed attorneys in the U.S. or Canada. Please note, non-attorneys may not vote in APABA-DC elections or hold elected or appointed positions within the organization.

Lifetime Member - $1,550.00 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited Any individual who would like to make a one-time donation and enjoy a lifetime membership.
