Have you donated to a charity this year? Did you know that you can donate stocks and other property to a non-profit? Interested in learning more about alternative charitable giving vehicles, including donor-advised funds that allow you to grow investments tax-free for charitable giving? No matter the level of your charitable giving, join us for a primer and discussion of important tax planning considerations to keep in mind. We are excited to have Lauren Azebu, tax partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, who will share an overview of the tax issues involved in determining where to give, what to give, when to give, and how much to give. Tax discussions don’t have to be boring! Bring your charitable spirit and join us for a dynamic discussion. Lauren Azebu is a partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLP and focuses her practice on US federal income taxation issues for domestic and international clients, including high-net worth individuals. She also advises clients on planning and structuring corporate and partnership transactions, including tax-free spinoffs. Before joining Steptoe, Lauren worked as a tax accountant at one of the Big Four accounting firms. Lauren currently serves as Co-Chair of the Steptoe Women’s Forum, as well as Co-Chair to the Practicing Attorneys Resource Committee of APABA-DC.
