Does Your Child Worry Too Much? Join Us for a Presentation on March 28 at 6:30 PM -7:30pm by Signe Whitson
This APABA-DC Working Parents Forum presentation, by Signe Whitson, will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Ms. Whitson will shed light on what is happening in a young person’s brain during periods of stress and will guide parents in how to use this knowledge to best support their kids. Attendees will learn practical strategies to help children re-gain calm during periods of anger and anxiety, and access the part of their brain that helps them make constructive behavioral choices. Parents will also learn what kids need to manage anger and anxiety, including sensory and mindfulness practices. A brief Q & A will be offered at the conclusion of the program.
The Zoom link will be shared prior to the event for all registered attendees.
When registering for this event, please also email parents@apaba-dc.org and let us know the ages of your children so that the presentation can cover different ages ranges as needed.
