Each year, APABA-DC invites a cast of federal, state, and local judges to participate in a reenactment of cases of particular significance to the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. The case this year is
Heart Mountain: Conscience, Loyalty, and the Constitution
. It is a reenactment of the trials and the events surrounding the internment and drafting of Japanese-Americans during the Second World War.
Both the reenactment and the reception afterwards will be at the D.C. Court of Appeals Historic Courthouse. More information with be forthcoming closer to the date.
