Join us for a powerful virtual fireside chat with acclaimed author, screenwriter, TV writer/producer and musician Paula Yoo, as she presents her newly released book that provides a comprehensive account of the 1992 Los Angeles uprising. Focusing on the Korean American community's experience during this watershed moment, Paula sheds light on the racial tensions, devastation, and resilience that marked an event resulting in over $1 billion in damage, 12,000 arrests, 2,400 injuries, and 63 deaths.
Paula will also discuss her award-winning book on the 1982 killing of Vincent Chin, a pivotal case in the Asian American civil rights movement.
