APABA-DC is proud to co-sponsor “Photographic Justice (film) – DC Premiere” highlighting photojournalist Corky Lee and the importance of preserving history and sharing our collective narratives.
Lee was a Chinese-American activist, community organizer, photographer, journalist and the self-proclaimed Asian American Photographer Laureate. Inspired to address what he described as the "invisibility" of Asian Americans, Lee documented the lives, celebrations, challenges and presence of Asian Americans in the U.S. over fifty years behind the camera.
