D.C. Bar Lunch and Learn: What's it Like to be a Criminal Defense Court-Appointed Lawyer in D.C.?

Date: Thursday, July 24th

Time: 12:00 to 1:00pm ET

Event Description:

Ever wonder what it would be like to work for yourself, set your own hours, be in court almost every day, and feel great about the work you do to make the world a better place for all people?

Criminal Justice Act attorneys, who serve on a panel of criminal defense lawyers appointed by the DC Superior Court to represent indigent clients charged with crimes in DC, live this life.

Learn more about this job opportunity as well as how to apply to join the panel during the presentation by Todd Baldwin, Steve LoGerfo and Karen Minor. They collectively have over fifty years’ experience on the CJA panel and are officers of the Superior Court Trial Lawyers Association, a group of over two hundred criminal defense attorneys who regularly practice in Superior Court.

Join them for an honest discussion about their jobs, the best parts (and some of the worst parts), and how you, too, might “hang your own shingle” and join the DC Superior Court CJA panel.

This webinar is offered by the D.C. Bar free of charge but registration is required. Register HERE.

This program is a joint production of Practice Management Advisory Service and the Law Practice Management Community of the D.C. Bar.
